Rules & FAQ
These are general rules for each of the People's Radio Jams. They will be posted on Itch, and a permanent copy will live here on the website, as well as on Discord.
- No artificial intelligence, anywhere, ever. The whole point of making music is to enjoy the process, not the product. Other tools are okay; for example, FL Studio's Riff Generator or Chord Progression tool. Throwing the dice is not the same as typing a prompt.
- Time is precious. Your song (or collection of songs) must be at least thirty seconds in length and may not exceed fifteen minutes in length.
- Create as much as you want. If you want to write a fifteen-minute long rock opera, we say, go for it. If you want to make dozens of thirty-second tracks, we say, that's a lot of tracks but we respect it.
- Show us your DAW. A screenshot or recording of your DAW will help prove that your entry is legitimate.
- No work from before the jam began. Music jams are all about creating music, and fishing something out of your library to throw into a jam goes against the spirit of the jam.
- BE WEIRD. Don't restrict yourself according to what would or should sound good to someone else. Make something weird, make something new, make something downright bizarre. Your music should be listenable, but strange.
